Littlehampton Bonfire Society’s Traditional Bonfire Night is one of the biggest events of its kind in the country, attracting large crowds each year to witness the spectacular torchlight processions, mammoth bonfire and seafront firework display. Organised entirely by volunteers, one of the main objects of the celebrations is to benefit local charities and good causes.
With costs unavoidably rising and fundraising in the current economic climate becoming increasingly difficult we are dependent on the support of local businesses to ensure we can maintain the high standard of the celebrations which residents and visitors to the town have come to expect.
The cost of this years Bonfire Night is likely to exceed £25,000.
We are now inviting local businesses to become sponsors of this year’s Bonfire Night. All sponsors confirmed by 17th August will be acknowledged in our Bonfire Night programme and on our website.
- £50 will sponsor a vintage steam engine in our Grand Torchlight Procession. Our event gives spectators the rare opportunity to witness these historic machines on the road after dark.
- £100 will help sponsor the prize money for the Bonfire and Carnival Societies, illuminated floats and local walking groups taking part in the parades.
- £250 will help sponsor a marching band. Our bands range from the Portsmouth City Band to the ever popular Expedient Jazz Band.
- £500 will help sponsor our firework display. The more firework sponsors we can get the more we can light up the night sky and put Littlehampton on the map!
