Littlehampton’s famous Bonfire Celebrations regularly attract large crowds to witness the spectacular torchlight processions, mammoth bonfire and seafront firework display. As well as providing entertainment for residents and visitors, the event enables us to support many local charities and good causes. The Grand Torchlight Procession gives spectators the rare opportunity to witness steam on the road after dark.
If you are interested in attending this year, please return the slip below to Richard Cooper, 46 Kent Road, Littlehampton, West Sussex, BN17 6LQ (firstname.lastname@example.org / 01903 725149). A cup in memory of Ted Burchfield will be presented to the owner of the best presented steam engine. As a result of sponsorship we are pleased to be able to offer £75 per engine assistance with expenses (full size engines only). Closing date for entries is Saturday 14th September. Please note that only details of entries received by Monday 12th August will be published in the Bonfire Night programme. Please also note that we are only able to accept six miniature engines, on a first come, first served basis, and there can be strictly no entries on the day. We will send you final details just before the event, but you may like to note in the meantime that the Grand Torchlight Procession moves off at 7.45p.m. sharp.
