Bargain hunters came out to support Littlehampton Bonfire Society’s May Fair on Saturday at St James’ Church Hall, East Ham Road.
The Fair raised a total of £1,561 towards the costs of the society’s Traditional Bonfire Celebrations in October. A variety of well-stocked stalls included home made cakes, books, good as new and a bumper plant stall supplied with donated plants from local nurseries.
Said society secretary, Richard Cooper, ‘We would like to thank the members of the public who came along to support the Fair and also all the local businesses and individuals who contributed raffle prizes and other goods for sale. We are particularly grateful to the local nurseries who so generously donated plants for sale. Although a little down on last year’s final total, we are very pleased to have raised such a good amount once again.’
The society continues its fund raising drive with its next stall at the Littlehampton Town Market in the High Street precinct taking place on Friday 13th June.
